Center Court Pickleball Club is opening its fourth Valley location this week in Scottsdale. The 35,000 square foot indoor club sits at 10220 N. 90th St., Suite C, near Loop 101 and Shea Boulevard, and features 13 tournament-sized courts.
The club was designed around the player experience. Upward-facing lighting keeps glare off the ball, and custom acoustic treatments cut down the familiar pop of pickleball noise. Members also get locker rooms, Power Plates and recovery equipment, a member lounge, and spaces for corporate events and private training. The grand opening includes a Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting.
“We did not simply want to build more courts,” said CEO Tim Keightley.
Why it matters
Fitting out a 35,000 square foot suite as an indoor sports venue is a great example of the fitness and wellness work happening across the Valley. The details that make a club like this feel premium are construction details: lighting layouts, acoustic treatment, HVAC sized to keep a big room comfortable in an Arizona summer, locker room plumbing and finishes that hold up to heavy daily use.
Fitness and wellness tenants are giving new life to big retail and flex spaces, and that is a healthy trend for shopping centers and the neighborhoods around them.
